Alternatives

I've been hearing a lot of people rave about the Clarisonic face brush for a while now. It is supposed to work wonders for your skin and really keep your face fresh, clean and blemish free. I do not for a second doubt that Clarisonic is a great product. My sister actually just purchased one the other day and she loved it after a single use. ANYWAYS, I personally did not want to spend over 100 dollars on this contraption.

While at Shopper's Drug Mart, I saw that Olay had its own face brush out. It's definitely a lot smaller and not as fancy as the Clarisonic. It is from the Fresh Effects line and it's called the Va-Va-Vivid Powered Contour Cleansing System. At only 15 dollars, it definitely captured my attention. I decided to try it out and I must say that it definitely gets my face a lot cleaner. I was surprised at how much make up it still picked up after I'd already used a cleansing cloth and rinsed my face with a separate cleanser. I'm not sure the effect that it will have on my skin over time, but I will definitely be sure to keep you guys posted!

  2. Oh I was lucky enough to get the Olay one free and while I'm not a huge fan of the face cleanser that comes with it I love the brush. I have a Neutrogena Wave too and I use to use it religiously. I'm not sure they still make those, but I've seen their cleanser pads in the store so they might. I also recommend if you don't have sensitive skin looking for an exfoliating brush. I actually got a 4 back from a local dollar store and it makes my face soo smooth when I use it with my apricot scrub. I love face products.

    1. Hey ! I also used to use the Neutrogena wave way back in the day, but I'm not sure what happened to it lol. So far I am loving the brush. I did notice that the cleanser it came with is more of a mattifying cleanser than a clear skin one, so that might be the issue. But in either case, I have a cleanser from Biore that I use with it as well. Thanks so much for all your suggestions :)
